🎃 Downriver Foster Closet Fall Fest 2026 👻
Join us for our annual Fall Fest, a special Halloween celebration created specifically for youth and families involved in foster care and the child welfare system. This is a private DFC family event and is not open to the general public.

Our goal is to give our kids a FUN Halloween experience while also making sure they are prepared for the cold Michigan weather ahead!
🎃 What to Expect
Families will enjoy a variety of activities throughout our Halloween Village, including:
- 🍬 Trunk-or-Treat/Halloween Village
- 🏰 Bounce House
- 🎃 Fall & Halloween Activities
- 🎨 Games & Crafts
- 🧸 Adopt-a-Pet
- 🎟️ Prizes & Giveaways
- 🌭 Food & Treats
- 🛍️ Winter Clothing Shopping
We are also working with local businesses, organizations, agencies and community groups to create decorated Halloween Village stations with games, activities and family resources!
🧥 Getting Our Kids Ready for Winter
One of the most important parts of Fall Fest is helping our youth prepare for winter. We plan to provide:
NEW Winter Coats • Winter Boots • Hats • Gloves • Halloween Costumes • Winter Clothing
💙 Important Information
Registration is required. Families will check in upon arrival and receive wristbands. Registered families will also receive an assigned shopping time to help keep shopping organized and enjoyable.
Please remember that this event is specifically for the foster care and is not a community-wide Halloween event.
